| Altar Servers
Students in grade 3 and above are invited to serve in this ministry. Finance Committee This Council provides advice to the Pastor concerning the administration of Parish finances, budget and property. Members of this Council are appointed by the Pastor. Please call the Rectory with questions regarding the Parish Finance Council. Health Ministry This ministry fosters collaboration between area health organizations and the Parish. Parish nurses serve as referral agents, health counselors and promoters of holistic wellness. Monthly blood pressure clinics are held after weekend Masses, and other programs are conducted when possible. Please contact the Rectory for information on the above outreach ministries.
Assistance is given to residents of Wrentham in need by donations received from Saint Mary parishioners. There are collection baskets located in the Church for this purpose. Call the Rectory if you have any questions or need assistance. Youth Ministry All junior and senior high school students in the Parish are welcome to join the St. Mary Youth Group. The group’s purpose is to allow the youth of the Parish to participate in spiritual, social and service activities within the Parish and the Archdiocese. |
Music Ministry The Adult Choir provides music at the 10:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday as well as special Holy Days and Liturgies. Rehearsals are held every Wednesday evening at 7:30 from September to June. The Youth Choir provides music at the 4:00 p.m. Mass every other Saturday. Students in grade 2 and above are invited to join. Rehearsals are held on Friday afternoons from 4:00 to 5:00 during the months of October through May. Music for Funerals Music for Weddings Music for Masses The contact person for music ministry for Funerals, Weddings and Special Liturgical Masses is Alex Kuznezov, Director of Music Ministries.
Outreach Ministry Ministers of Holy Communion visit and bring Holy Communion to individuals homes as well as the three Nursing Homes located in Wrentham. They assist with Mass, which is celebrated once per month at each Nursing Home, celebration of the Rosary and other Religious events occurring at the Nursing Homes. They also help coordinate our Annual Mass of Anointing for the homebound and disabled of our Parish who cannot attend Mass regularly. Ushers These parishioners perform a variety of duties, which include welcoming parishioners, assisting with seating and collecting the weekly offerings. |
Religious Education Sharing the Catholic faith with our children is an important goal. Religious Education is an integral part of Parish life at Saint Mary Parish. Classes are available for students in Pre-school through grade 11. For information on enrolling a child or volunteering to assist in one of the many aspects of the program, please call the Religious Education Office Religious Education Registration and Confirmation Forms Pastoral Council This Council provides advice to the Pastor regarding the evangelization, worship, religious education and service activities within the Parish. New members are nominated and elected according to the expiration of terms of office. Questions should be directed to Rich Lambert, Vice Chairperson of the Parish Pastoral Council. R.C.I.A. The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults prepares candidate and catechumen for full communion into the Catholic Church at Easter.
